Transgender Advocacy Award Information

Black Transmen Inc is proud to formally acknowledge and celebrate the transgender community and allies.  Our honorable awards acknowledgement is in recognition of individuals, groups and organizations who are dedicated to the advancement of the transgender movement and are focued on equality, advocacy, empowerment and social change.  Award recognitions are featured  at each Annual Black Transmen, Inc Black Tie Awards Dinner Ball.  Join us as we celebrate change March 16, 2013 in the Beautiful Skyline Ballroom! 

2013 Awards

    *Black Transmen Man of The Year Award

    Individual Award:Acknowledges the transman who is nominated for national individual recognition for his pride as a man of trans experience & productive member of society.

    * Black Transwomen Woman of The Year Award

    Individual Award:Acknowledges the transwoman who is nominated for national individual recognition for her pride as a woman of trans experience & productive member of society.

    * Community Choice Award

    Individual or Group: Acknowledges individuals or groups who are nominated for contributions made to the local community and for the advancement of the transgender movement.

    * Community Advocate Award

    Organizations: Recognizes community schools, NFPO, businesses & social groups providing the transgender community an opportunity to present their identity traits, creativity and self expression while creating strong social ties within local communities.

    * (BTMI) Advocate Award

    Individuals: Recognizes transgender men and women who are taking a stand for trans identity and advancing the transgender movement congruent with BTMI advocacy areas: Identity, Culture, Religion, Family, Health, Wealth, Careers, Education, Business Politics and Youth Services.
